The Prince of Peace from glory came,
To a world full of strife.
He came to save and justify,
So that sinners may have life.
The Prince of Peace to a stable came,
A manger for His bed.
A jealous king and religious men
Wanted Jesus dead
The Prince of Peace to a region came,
Where soldiers marched the streets.
Oppressed by sin and iniquity?
Jesus touches all He meets.
The Prince of Peace, to a hill He came
With a cross of shame and grief,
To take our sins upon Himself
And destroy our unbelief.
The Prince of Peace, in a tomb was laid:
The crushed dragon thought he'd won.
But only Jesus' heel was bruised -
He rose the Glorious Son!
The Prince of Peace, in Heaven He sits;
The Lamb for sinners slain.
Eternal Son, Judah's Lion
Forever He will reign.
